YALL Comedy Fest, sponsored by Comedy Central and NBCUniversal, announced SNL alum Chris Redd will host the Comedy Central Presents Variety Hour (and a Half) show on Thursday, April 3 at 7:00pm at Asylum NYC.
This 90+ minute show features an all-star lineup of sketch performers and character comedians, promising an evening of outrageous humor. The lineup includes sketch comedy from sketch groups ZANG and Diver City, a characters performance, a comedic performance piece, and a segment from the political comedy news show Going Down with Ella Yurman.
ZANG, the comedy trio led by Chike Robinson (Netflix Is A Joke Festival), Talib Babb (CBS’s The Late Show with Stephen Colbert), and Aaron Bryan (New York Comedy Festival), will feature videos and sketch performances from Robinson, Babb, and Bryan, along with guest performers Justin Catchens (Upright Citizen’s Brigade), Alexis Bradby (Paramount+’s iCarly), Blair Tate (NBC’s Saturday Night Live), Daddy (Littlefield), Jay Padilla, and Usama Siddiquee (Netflix’s Survival of the Thickest).
Diver City, created by Shareef Taher (The Onion), will feature sketch performances from Taher, Sydney Duncan (VH1’s Wild ‘N Out), Jack Dominick (Discovery’s Mythbusters), Joseph Lymous (AppleTV+’s Hello Tomorrow!), and Fallon Boles (UCB MAUDE).
Beyond sketch comedy, the variety show will feature Air Durnell’s (Upright Citizen’s Brigade) characters performance, Angel Yau’s (TedX) performance piece Lobster Facts, and a public access-type performance from the political comedy news show Going Down with Ella Yurman, starring host Ella Yurman (The New York Times).
